First, here’s hoping your Christmas was superb and to wish you all prosperity and joy in 2015! 🙂
Now, join me for a memes today: I’m sharing my Crazy Goals for Misha’s meme (click the button for more information). How are you doing on your Crazy Goals?
I amended my crazy goal to: I will publish Finding Luna by the end of this year, and book three by the end of 2015.
Basically, that ain’t gonna happen and after kicking myself around my new house and from Dubai to the UK, I’ve just about accepted it.
See, I’ve been dealing with the Supes Series (TSS) in one way or another since 2008 and quite frankly, I’ve lost the love for it. After a manic episode earlier this year, where I steamrolled through my second draft and pretty much destroyed Finding Luna’s WIP, I wept and fretted and generally panicked. After a break, I tried to sort it out. My hope was to get it ready to publish in December 2014, as planned and promised to my beloved readers, but my gosh… I just can’t do it.
Somewhere along the way I’ve lost the faith and the joy for TSS. There is magic still, I know it, but my manic creative splurge removed all structure and replaced it with chaos, and after much effort, I just don’t have the energy or will to work my way through it. When I open the file I want to weep, not work.
I’m sorry. 🙁
But… it’s not the end, it’s an “I need to pause, rewind, take a break from TSS, and see what happens in the future’ period.
New year projects:
- More ghostwriting shorts / novella/ scenes.
- Write more romantic suspense/erotica which I’ll continue to publish under a pseudonym.
- Revisit Finding Luna during the Summer 2015 and see how I feel about it.
- Be creative and see where it leads me. 🙂
What are your Crazy Goals for 2015?
I wish everyone a wonderful new year. May it surpass your expectations in all the right ways. XXX
