Hello everyone. This is my last post for a couple of weeks. I’m off to see my family in UK for eleven days tomorrow. Very excited. I’ll be my youngest sister’s bridesmaid next year, so we’re all going shopping for dresses, just to get an idea. Squee.
So, I’m Celebrating a few things this week.
There was a time, right up until I was sixteen, that if anyone got wed, I’d get a call to be a bridesmaid. But since then, nada! I was so over the standing around near the altar in taffeta, fighting fatigue while they went through their vows, the hymns, signing the register, then the endless pictures around a windy churchyard. But it’s been a while and it’s for my sister, so Super Bridesmaid is back! And I’m excited! 🙂 I may take pictures, although my sister would no doubt kill me if I showed them before her big day.
1. Visiting family for the first time in too long. See you in two weeks! 🙂
2. Because of one thing or another (lots of ghosts projects mainly, oh and a fuzzy head which seems to switch off as soon as I open my MS), I’m way behind on my MS. It’s not ready for its planned developmental critique 1st August.
I was sad, worried, biting my fingernails down to stumps, but the lovely Kim Graff said, “Hey… it’s okay.” And agreed to let me push it back till the first week of September. Yay! 🙂
This at least gives me time to reorganise it and write the last four chapters (which I told you I’d lost before. I can’t explain how again, as the still simmering rage may bubble over into vomit).
3) Bridesmaid dress shopping. I believe the colour she’s going for is coral (unless she changed her mind). Hoping I can carry it off, already planning a spray tan (coral and pasty don’t go). 🙂
This could be us! Scary 🙂
Well, that’s all for this weeks celebration. What are you celebrating?
