Today I’m celebrating CP’s and their hard work, being able to spend a few days with my family in UK and movies from 2013 so far! What would you celebrate today?
Today I’m celebrating CP’s!
Mine has given me 21 chapters so far and I’ve got a lot out of her hard work. I have to steam ahead with getting her a few more chapters today. Finding Esta is therefore well on the way to being re-written and critiqued. It’s a more slimline novel which flows much better. As my CP is not for the UK, she’s helped to spot areas of confusion I couldn’t see, as well as helping me to ‘diagnose’ the stifling beginning. I have known it was there forever, but I just couldn’t see what had to go. I’ve go rid of a 1. 1/2 chapters and put one into a prologue. I’m just feeling a lot better about it now. 🙂
I do have another CP who took my book two months ago but I’ve not heard anything for a while. May have lucked out there although I hope not.
I’m also celebrating a home visit!
I won’t be around next week because I’m flying to the UK for a well earned family visit. My mum lives in Spain and she can’t get there this month unfortunately, so I’ll have to wait till December to see her again 🙁 But I will get to see my sisters, niece and all their kids (7 in total), plus my little brother (who’s well over 6 foot!). It will be a relief to walk outside without the sun igniting my eyelashes (okay, not quite that hot, but Dubai is horribly hot this time of year). Hubs is desperately trying to get another job elsewhere. We have everything crossed that happens this year!
I’d like to celebrate good movies 2013 so far!
Some of the following were better than others, but I enjoyed them all to some extent. 🙂
The Great Gatsby (2013)
Gangster Squad (2013)
Jack the Giant Slayer (2013)
Beautiful Creatures (2013)
Warm Bodies (2013)
Iron Man 3 (2013)
Oz the Great and Powerful (2013)
World War Z (2013)
Want to watch
The Host (2013)
The Conjuring (2013)
This Is the End (2013)
Evil Dead (2013)
The Lone Ranger (2013)
Man of Steel (2013) (I went to watch this but the queue for it was full of noisy kids. We watched World War z instead)
That’s all for now. What are you celebrating?
