At last, I have begun the all-important and groan-worthy re-writes of Finding Luna #2 The Supes Series. I’m giving myself one month to complete these re-writes on paper, and to apply them to the e-copy of my WIP. Then I’ll be on holiday for a week.
I have around 400 printed pages (1.5 line spaced), and yesterday I completed around twenty pages. If I average at least 17 pages a day, I can do complete those re-writes on paper with 6 days to spare for me to apply them to the e-WIP! Hurrah! I just need to stick to the plan (which I’m crap at!) I know there are several days this month where I’m out all day, so will need to do more on some days to cover them. When I can, I will, therefore, hope for around 40 pages. Tough, but I think it can be done. I just need to focus and stop worrying about marketing, etc.
I’m a little nervous.
My very clever sister and brother are both reading Finding Esta. And my hubs friend (who’s very well read in all things fantasy and sci-fi) has begun it this week. One friend and one niece read it (loved it, but couldn’t leave a review on Amazon!!) already, but it’s still so scary! This is the worse part of being published – sharing your work with loved ones. It should be easier than sharing it with strangers, but it’s not. Because I care what they think of it.
Oh, this brings me quite perfectly to a request.
I NEED BETA READERS AND CRITIQUE PARTNERS!! ANY IDEAS?
Where is best to look? Would you like to partner up with me? Did you help me with Finding Esta and would you like to get on board with Finding Luna? Please get in touch using my contact page, my email address (shahwharton @ g mail dot com), or in the comments section below. Cheers!
My ROW80 updates 🙂

Wrote a post about mental health for a meme. More information will follow if it’s accepted. Also wrote my healthy blog hop post (see the sidebar) and a post for my other blog about Maya Angelou for national poetry month. 🙂
Shah the Marketing Wizz
Sorting out the next blog tour and awaiting those yummy (I hope) reviews. Still considering the whole KDP FREE days/promotion thingy. Authors are saying they no longer think it’s a viable way to boost ranking or sales, but still use it? Is exclusivity worthy it? I have to be honest and say I’ve no more than a handful of books outside of Amazon (apart from a freebie promo at Smashwords), so I’m unsure if it would hugely impact me to go exclusive for 90 days. Oh, I don’t flipping-well know!
Shah the Imperfect Publisher
The print version of Finding Esta is coming soon! 😀
Shah the Pro Blogger.
Well, I have now moved to another server and the customer service has been exceptional, as is the speed of my blog. I got so used to the painfully slow mechanics of blogging at iPage that when I found out how fast it could always have been, I wanted to scream out in rage and relief. Everything taking so long, or not working or arguing with useless customer service representatives – all the time! – was one reason for my blogging burnout. But now it’s a pleasure to blog again. *Sigh! Thanks, Tech Guy! 🙂
I’m going to ask them for a badge and pop it on my sidebar. They deserve free advertising IMO! Oh, and I added another blog roll (on your left) of the top ten writing blogs to nurture and inspire your craft. 🙂
Here, I posted
- LET’S CELEBRATE THE SMALL THINGS & SMELL THE ROSES! #IWSG
- FRACTURED SOUL BY RACHEL MCCLELLAN – INTERVIEW / EXCERPT / GIVE AWAY / TRAILER
At PHOTOGRAPHY & COVERS (new title and blog theme) I posted
- Still nothing new.
Shah the Ready Reader
I still need to review Katie Salidas Immortalis Carpe Noctem (Immortalis Vampire Series #1). I’m also still trying to read the Forbidden Trilogy by Kimberly Kinrade for I.O Book Tours.
I’m reading/collecting loads of post in my new Evernote account for another Shareathon post to appear next week sometime. The blogasphere is so full of amazing information.
Shah the Fitness Superhero (or not!)
I’m slurrping away at my green tea, walking most days and occasional visits to the treadmill. My hubs bought me a new gym kit, so I can’t very well not use it now can I? 🙂 I’m also trying to eat a bit less, but more often. It’s unnatural for me to do this, but it’s better for me to do so.
