Hello all, today I’m participating in yet another superb blog-fests from Alex Cavanaugh. I bent the rules a bit because as I thought about this more and more, the list grew and grew. I cut it back, sectioned it off, all sorts. But still, I could not get it down to ten.
Well, I adore movies. Last year I watched hundreds, and I consume them readily every day. We try to go to the cinema twice a month, too. I also love great TV dramas / cops shows / thrillers. It’s all part of loving to leave reality (without resorting to narcotic abuse) to enter another world. I think most fiction writers enjoy this, otherwise, why are you writing?
The list below is in no particular order (because I just couldn’t choose, damn it!) and came with blood, sweat and tears – Okay, perhaps not, but you get the idea. 🙂 It’s also subject to change. The old favourites (and there are many you’ll notice) will probably always have a place on any favourites list, but there will be others which come and go, and I imagine if you ask me this question next year, it’ll look pretty much the same, but it will feature the odd newbie too.
top ten list of favorite movies!
HorrorThe Shining (1980)
Great monologue scene!!
The Twilight Series (I hear you groaning )
Crime & Punishment
Great scene – another monologue!
(I love the series, but the first was my favourite)
Leon: The Professional (1994)
(Oh my, I cried throughout!)
The Marathon Man (1976)
I just love a great twist!
This make me ooze with appreciation for the love in my life, every time I watch it.
Cool, slick, funny, & it has a superb sound track!
Some people don’t get Woody Allen, which is a shame because he offers so much. Here’s
one of my fave scenes – pure drama – excellent camera work, script, acting.
And here’s another fave scene – Hilarious!
