Welcome back all you Thanksgiving peeps. Did you enjoy your turkey and ham celebrations? Being a Brit, living in Dubai, I don’t partake myself, but I still spent a little time looking around me, missing the hubs who’s away at work, playing with the ever insistent pest that is Bobby, and I felt grateful for my lot. I smiled a lot yesterday. I had that silly giggly feeling and felt inside as if I’d been covered in a thick layer of hot custard: Warm, sweet and yummy. Today, I’m feeling stressed!
So, how are you all doing? Still feeling grateful? Still keeping up with your goals or did the celebrations steal away your time (but so what, right – ;D )? Are you storming ahead with #NaNoWriMo, positive you’ll pass the finishing post ahead of schedule? Or banging your head against a wall – any wall – desperate for this month of craziness to end?
Yeah – Me too! In fact, I’m all of the above. I am this picture… I have no idea where I found this now. (Do you know who I should link this to?) It’s been in my random picture file on my computer for ages. It’s brilliant and if anyone would like to claim it, or stop me from using it here, please let me know BEFORE the lawsuit. Many thanks. X
Writing: I’m almost finished with #NaNoWriMo – Hurrah! I gave it a big push over the last few days and am presently at around 43k 🙂 That’s approx 10k more than last check in.
Reading: MY NEW KINDLE FIRE HD still ROCKS! I read Redemption for review, which I liked, and I’m still reading The Reinfield Syndrome by J.A. Assre, which I’m still enjoying, when I get the chance. I’ve tried to read blog posts and articles relevant to my writing on a daily basis, too. Especially those I’m supposed to share on Triberr. I’m also reading through Finding Esta in chinks from my editor.
Checking Through Editors Feedback: This is going really well. It’s my first experience of this process of course, so I was nervous. I also insisted she be brutal with me. She is seeing the issues I had with it and explaining them to me so they make sense, then suggesting ways to improve or remove them. I’m loving it. She’s like a story-doctor and she is armed with prescriptions. 🙂 It’s distracting me from #NaNoWriMo quite bait, but not enough to stop me from getting to the end with my 50k!
Blogging: As I said above, reading some. No where near as many as normal and not all the bloggers I’m missing, namely you ROW80 guys. I’ll catch up after November.
Social Networking: Still sharing and commenting, mostly on Facebook. But when Triberr works it means I share around a 80-100 post a day. Phew!
Bobby: With David away for four days in L.A for work, Bobby’s taken it hard and thrown a few tantrums. He’s needed constant attention and been naughty more than cheeky. Testing and pushing boundaries. This has been difficult, but them’s the breaks. He doesn’t like change. I dread leaving him when we go on holiday, even though I’m convince the place we’ve chosen is great. 🙁
House Guests: They left Monday a.m.
Health: Taking Bobby for daily walks/runs and playing with him has been my exercise. 🙂 Diet tends to go a bit down the swanny when I’m alone – I eat once a day and usually whatever I can be bothered to cook/prepare. NOT GOOD!
fiftyfifty.me: I decided to keep adding – although I lost a list with loads on, so the numbers are no longer accurate. I’ve yet to add links or share them all to Pinterest. I’ll get around to it.
NEW GOAL ADDITION: I’ve moved my third rather unloved blog to WordPress – Beautiful Pictures. And, because iPage is HORRENDOUS as a server host and I’ve had so many issues and my blog is SO slow, I’ve finally decided to switch to Bluehost for WordPress. Apparently they’re excellent so I’m looking forward to a much better service/user experience. Got it for $3.95 per month for 3 years, too. Not bad. 🙂 Made possible, I might add, by including the story of my experience with bingo in my last update. So what if I sacrificed a little principle in the process? 😛
NOTE: This does mean this blog may go down for 36 hours at some point when the change from iPage servers to Bluehost servers occurs. Please bear with me 🙂
