If there’s one thing that always makes me smile its VAMPIRES!
Don’t ya just love vampires?
Here, I want to linger in the hotness of vampires, but also gripe about their oh so boring girlfriends!
EDWARD CULLEN: I never saw the hotness at first, but once you do – it just grows.
Now, its getting embarrassing….
He planned a special birthday party for his GF’s 22nd birthday
Check HERE if you don’t believe me. Oh, and if you didn’t know – (REALLY?)
Kirsten Stewart – aka Bella Swan is the last in question. Jealous, me? Please.
Did any of you want this to happen in New Moon?
I did, but then I fell in love with Edward during Eclipse,
finally and was thrilled with the conclusion.
What do you think Twilight fans? With me on this?

Check out The Breaking Dawn pt2 Trailer if you haven’t already.
What will we do when its’ all finished… Come on Stephanie Meyer – dream another dream.
The Vampire Diaries
Ian Somerhalder – Alias: Damon! HOT!!
I am apparently just one of a new phenomena – Shippers/Shipping. Basically, someone who is invested in the relationships of their favourite characters in fiction. When I say invested, I don’t mean personally, of course (no really). I will not seek counselling if Elena never sorts her skinny ass out and chooses Damon finally, or does the predictable thing and goes back to the much more dangerous and unstable Stephan (though he’s still made out to be the ‘nice’ brother? Grr!)
Plurrlease… He’s the Ripper! Not Damon. Just because Stephan spirals out of control via an addiction-type fuelled, frenzy, doesn’t make his carnage any less ‘bad-boy’ – Get it?
Of course, they are both equally guilty of the sin of falling head-over-heals for the boring Elena (again – without explanation) – so good luck to ’em.
Ah…True Blood. God damn, I loved Charliane’s books so much I digested one after the other without breaks until they were all consumed. (UPDATE: The last one I read wasn’t the best though, and they’re not cheap on Kindle, but I’ll keep going. I have to know what happens – come on!) But then an awful emptiness formed within me; a True Blood vacuum.
That is, until the wonderful TV series began, which although way more sexed up than the books, is truly marvellous. My husband and I watched season 3 on DVD. Then caught up on season 4 online.Vampuliscious!! We’re now longing for series 5.
At last, a reason why seriously sexy men, like Eric and Alcide, would fall so hard for her.
And isn’t it always that the vampire has only EVER loved HER like this in hundreds (if not thousands) of years? Making it more ridiculously unbelievable. Okay, I realise I’m talking about something lacking in reality anyway – vampires, but still. Come on people?
I’m loving that! That’ll be the Shipper in me. 🙂
Bill was never a favourite of mine however. The breath-taking character, Eric Northman was. Not just looks (otherwise Alcide might have toppled him) but because of his characteristics/personality. He’s over a thousand years old, a Viking, and a super-sexy vamp, with charm and a bad-boy wickedness I find irresistible.
He kicks ass and boy his ass is hot!
But let’s not forget the dark, sexy Alcide. Hello… he’s dripping with lusciousness. Yet, Sookie totally lets me down with always remaining attached to Bill who is, well… average and far less interesting.
The writers (of the show) could be plain themselves? Perhaps they congregate The Plain Man’s corner, fighting for a world where the ‘good’ guy doesn’t always finish last. What do you think?
According to Tucka Cummins on Yahoo……
But as with any US adaptation of a UK show, there have been some changes. While both vampires are played by a pale, handsome actor with dark hair, there are still many differences between the two characters. While these differences may seem quite minor, they are actually very important for creating distinct characterization.
US Mitchell: Sam Witwer
1. Length of Time as a VampMitchell (UK): Turned during World War I (1916)
Aidan (US): Turned during the Revolutionary War (1779)
Why does it matter? While Mitchell was turned less than a century ago, Aidan has been drinking blood for more than twice as long. On the one hand, that means that Mitchell is closer to his human roots, chronologically speaking. On the other hand, Aidan has over 200 years of blood-sucking to overcome, making his desire to stay in touch with his humanity more challenging, and therefore more interesting to viewers.
2. Job DescriptionMitchell (UK): Hospital porter
Aidan (US): Nurse
Why does it matter? While both vampires are employed in a hospital, there’s something more appealing about Mitchell’s job. Not only does it put him on the same level as his werewolf roommate, but having a job lower on the food chain gives him an underdog appeal. Both Mitchell and his roommate are porters, putting them on the fringes of society, which only serves to accentuate their alienation.
3. Powers and AbilitiesMitchell (UK): Immortality, strength, and ability to see ghosts
Aidan (US): Immortality, Super speed, strength, telepathic/mind control abilities, ability to see ghosts.
Why does it matter? The more powers you give a vampire, the less human they become. And when the goal is to create a relatable character that is trying to reconnect with their humanity, that can be a double-edged sword. With Aidan having so many more powers than Mitchell, it makes Aidan’s journey towards humanity seem more futile.
Still, Aidan’s more advanced powers have been used to great effect thus far, specifically when Aidan tries to use his powers to erase Garrity’s memory, ultimately causing him to commit suicide.
4. Arc of AddictionMitchell (UK): Has tried to quit in the past
Aidan (US): Trying to quit is a recent decision
Why does it matter? This difference may be due to the lead time of the UK version over the US version, but we are lead to believe in the first few episodes of the US version that Aidan’s decision to quit is a recent one. Across the pond, we see Mitchell try to go cold turkey in at least one flashback, during New Year’s Eve in 2000 with Carl, and we see him have many moments of revulsion to death prior to that.
The difference between the two characters is important, since drinking blood is treated as an “addiction” in both versions of the show. The UK version is a bit darker, and reflects real addiction with a bit more accuracy than the US version, which seems to suffer from the “happy ending syndrome” so common on US TV. Only time will tell if the US version of “Being Human” can reach the level of bleakness that made the UK version so riveting.”
Who do you think UK Mitchell compares to US Mitchell? I know I’m bias, but to me, there is no comparison. 🙂
